I love the depth of your writing and how much effort (and heart) you've clearly put into this. I've always loved Michael's music and his commitment to use his massive platform for social causes, so when I knew of his awareness of Palestine, I needed to search further about it and I'm happy to have stumbled upon your article. Thank you!

Thank you for this and for doing the searching. I also want to acknowledge my appreciation for recognizing the effort and heart! One never knows how the public will respond when we put our work out there, and I am so grateful for everyone who has read and shared it. I am so happy the essay found you!

I love this so much. I have always believed this man was actively fighting a system set up to be against him in every way and I feel like this gives him more depth as a person who was going out of his way to spread love even if he didn’t receive it. He was selfless honestly. I hope wherever he is he feels the love and respect and admiration we feel for him. Thank you for this!!

Thank you so much for this, it really means a lot. You’ve highlighted a central theme here. He extended solidarity so freely, often at real personal cost, and so little of that was returned to him. That tension between his generosity and his treatment is at the heart of what I was trying to work through. I’m glad the essay gave him some of that depth back. 🖤

Thank you so much for my spreading awareness and teaching the truth about Michael Jackson. This is exactly the truth that western media erased and failed to portray.

Hi Hanya,

Thank you so much for reading—and for this generous response. The erasure of Michael's solidarity is exactly what I wanted to excavate. His politics were hiding in plain sight, and Western media worked very hard to keep them there. I'm glad this piece is finding the people it was meant for.

This made me cry!! Thank you for writing it Sherry. It’s important to have people like MJ in this world, and it’s more important to BE like MJ. We have to care about each other, we’re all we have.

Thank you for this — it genuinely means a lot to me. You’ve named exactly what I was reaching for: not just to remember him, but to ask what it means to be someone who refuses to look away. That’s the harder and more necessary thing, isn’t it? I’m grateful you’re here reading.

Michael Jackson was a pedophile, just watch the HBO documentary „Neverland“, all the evidence is there. After watching this documentary you will have no doubt about it. I wish it wasn‘t like that too.

Yeah they know that. Idk why they’re doing this episode. It’s painting Jackson as a total victim, and one with no power or agency. He bought the Beatles catalogue. He did wtf he wanted. Including the stuff with those children. If he really cared about Palestine, he’d have done what he did to the Beatles or when he broke bad on Sony.
